Clients with Ailments or Injuries
 

The majority of Maximum’s Result’s clientele are healthy individuals. Yet everyone has had an injury once in a lifetime. Even more startling is the fact that 80% of people suffer from low back pain. The majority of this pain is due to weak abdominal and overall increase in fat and decrease in metabolism. The truth is the majority of ailments in our society spring from the lack of keeping our muscular structures strong through the passing of the years.

The statistics are amazing: one in five women, and one in nine men will develop osteoporosis, 90% of adults will develop diabetes 2, one in five children in this country are obese,

It is logical to assume therefore that almost every client complains of a singular ache or singles out a past injury. Even some, who practice sports, have come to the studio with some type of injury.

Although at Maximum Results we have no doctor on staff, it is important to emphasize the change getting stronger has brought about for the clients health and well-being. This is the reason for this part of the site.

At Maximum Results we have people with the following ailments who have been able to exercise without problems and have found that Maximum Results Workouts’ have contributed to their well being and finding they experience less pain (many pain free):

  • Osteoporosis
    (Stronger muscles contribute to stronger bones)
  • Posture (improvement in muscle tonus)
  • Carpal Tunnel (strengthen hand and arm muscles compensates for weak areas)
  • Elbow
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Heart surgery (improve cardiovascular efficiency by improving heart’s ability to pump oxygen rich blood to working muscles)
  • Pain in weak Shoulders
  • Pain in Knees (strengthen quadriceps)
  • Neck pain
  • Low back pain

If you find you have any of these pains most are probably due to weak muscles. By strengthening these muscles or adjoining muscles we have found the majority of our clients have been pain free in these areas. One client could not go hiking due to her knees and now can hike and perform activities a couple of months ago were impossible for her.

The fact is muscle is extremely important not only for our overall improvement in appearance but also for your overall well-being. Muscle is what we loose with age. That is why when we were younger we had more vitality- we had more muscle-movement-. Muscle is movement. With age we loose it and gain fat and therefore become lethargic. Once we begin to regain our lost muscle, our metabolism will work more efficiently therefore eliminating extra inches and our daily activities will become easier to perform.

Think of this, if you have stronger legs and arms your heart will be taxed less so everything you do will require less effort. Remember though not everything will give you muscle. Some things that people call exercise are actually recreation. Walking and jogging, tae-bo etc are considered recreation; they will not change your overall appearance or your metabolism. Bottom line is: Get strong first then do what you like in life. You need to do very little to get strong (time wise) but must do it intensely in order to get results.
